Dragons’ Den

Did we look familiar? That could be, because in 2020 we were in the Dragons’ Den investment program on the dutch NPO1. We got a great investment out of it, but even better, we got our investor Shawn Harris as part of our company. She is still our investor, but also acts as a mentor at the same time. We’re very lucky to have her!

Nanny Nina’s early years

Hi! We are Lyla & Jasmijn Kok, founders of Nanny Nina. In 2010 we started our babysitting service “Oppas Madelief” in the Netherlands and since then we have only grown larger. We love to find the ideal nanny for a family and make the perfect match. We have also been active in Belgium and Norway for a number of years. That is why in 2019 we changed our name to the international “Nanny Nina”.

Nanny Nina works with 14 city captains, marketers, pedagogical experts, data crunchers and cold turkey coders in Haarlem, Delft and Ho Chi Mingh.

Your office

Our office is in Haarlem, the Netherlands. This light and beautiful space is within 5 minutes from Haarlem station. There are plenty of free parking spaces, or you can get a bike from us if you prefer cycling.

We would like for you to come in on Mondays and Wednesdays. For the rest of your workdays, you can decide for yourself where’d you want to spend them. It is your responsibility that you do your job, no matter where! Want to know more about your future colleagues? Job vacancy: Financial controller

Who do we need?

An ambitious, financial, pragmatic person. A financial in heart and soul, but someone who likes to look at all aspects of business operations and who can’t control giving advice where necessary. Someone who fits a scale-up phase, a hands-on, innovative person who is transition-oriented and wants to build. Someone with a can-do mentality, who is not easily deterred; a curious person with a commercial attitude, who always thinks about the business impact and who has the potential to be a very strong business partner, even if you don’t have this experience yet.

You can make a difference

Because you are an analytically strong Controller who combines ownership with a pioneering drive. You feel at home in large models and/or data sets and you don’t get lost in Excel either. Communication skills are important, because there are many internal and external stakeholders that you inform and connect. Because developments go so fast, you should not be afraid to make trade-offs based on incomplete data.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Completed relevant economic education at HBO/WO level;
  • At least 4 years of work experience in a controlling or audit function;
  • You have a proactive attitude towards CEO and management team;
  • You are analytically strong, have good communication skills and are result-oriented;
  • You work accurately and structured;
  • Hands-on attitude, pragmatic and action-oriented;
  • You are critical and professional;
  • You have an excellent command of the Dutch and English language (spoken and written);
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Knowledge of AFAS and Power BI is an advantage;
  • Affinity with IT, office automation and digitization;
  • Good dose of humor, positive attitude and focused on collaboration;
