Per trovare lavoro come au pair in Italia non è necessario parlare italiano.
Le au pair dovrebbero avere tempo libero sufficiente e l’opportunità di partecipare a un corso di lingua. Responsabili del pagamento dei costi del corso di lingua sono le stesse au pair, ma la famiglia ospitante può aiutarle a trovare un corso di lingua.
Le persone alla pari provenienti da un paese extra europeo, che vengono in Italia con un visto per studenti, devono verificare se il corso di lingua proviene da un istituto presente nell’elenco delle scuole approvate che riconoscono il visto per studenti. A parte questo, il corso deve durare un minimo di 20 ore settimanali.
Non ci sono regole ufficiali su quanto puoi essere pagato come au pair in Italia, ma le famiglie ospitanti tendono a pagare le loro au pair 250-300 euro al mese. Questo è visto come una paghetta e non come uno stipendio, poiché uno scambio alla pari è uno scambio culturale e non un lavoro.
Il lavoro di una persona alla pari consiste principalmente nel prendersi cura dei bambini, ma può essere accompagnato da faccende domestiche come passare l’aspirapolvere, caricare la lavastoviglie e fare il bucato. Si lavora circa 30 ore a settimana. Il resto del tempo puoi lo puoi usare per esplorare il paese, uscire con gli amici o incontrare il perfetto amante italiano!
In Italia, le au pair hanno almeno un giorno libero a settimana e, almeno una volta al mese, questo giorno deve essere domenica.
Non ci sono regole ufficiali per quanto riguarda le vacanze per le persone alla pari. In generale, le au pair hanno diritto a una vacanza retribuita di 2 settimane se impiegati per sei mesi.
Neanche sui giorni festivi ci sono regole ufficiali. Consigliamo alle persone alla pari di avere un giorno libero nei giorni festivi per vivere la cultura italiana.

Le au pair provenienti da Australia, Canada o Nuova Zelanda possono venire in Italia con il Working Holiday visa.
Puoi decidere insieme alla tua famiglia ospitante per quante ore vuoi aiutarli. Non possono mai essere più di 30 ore a settimana e non più di 6 giorni a settimana. Inoltre non puoi lavorare più di 5 ore al giorno.
