Il lavoro di una persona alla pari consiste principalmente nel prendersi cura dei bambini, ma può essere accompagnato da faccende domestiche, come passare l’aspirapolvere, caricare la lavastoviglie e fare il bucato. Di solito si lavora circa 30 ore a settimana, ma può variare a seconda del paese. Il resto del tempo lo puoi usare per esplorare il paese, uscire con gli amici e conoscere la cultura.
Puoi registrarti e cercare una famiglia gratuitamente. Di solito devi solo pagare il volo verso il paese in cui vai, ma a volte la famiglia ospitante lo paga. Quindi dipende!

Può sempre succedere che una volta arrivati non ci sia quella scintilla che si aspettava. Questo è il motivo per cui si concorda un preavviso di solitamente 1 o 2 mesi. In realtà questo non accade quasi mai perché conosci in anticipo la tua famiglia. Se non scatta una scintilla dall’inizio, cerchiamo un’altra famiglia!

The best thing of being an au pair in the Netherlands is that there is an agency which protects me, so I feel safe here. Nanny Nina is the best!
